  • $16,000 anchor grant cut, which could result in lost classrooms
  • $20,500 for Teacher Aid who presently works at 10 hours per week and need for her presence in classrooms 40 hours per week.
  • $500 for nutrition snacks and $500 for books
  • $40,000 for another teacher and two more classes

Before/After and Summer Programs K-12

Youth Prevention Programs (Storey County)

Current need:

  • $17,000 for Global Voice to support 12 youth and 5 adults travel to Ireland and implement a community service learning project to help a community.
  • $1.3 million to complete Community Center Phase 2. Phase 2 will provide space for the Storey County Community Library, art and recreation facilities, conference room, commercial kitchen, training and technology center, and more room for youth programs such as Before and After School, Middle and High School Programs, and Summer Program.

  • $25,000 for Social Justice Institute
  • $50,000 to help rural coalitions in Tonopah and Pahrump become self sufficient with their mission to address homelessness and hunger in rural Nevada as well as other issues rural Nevadans face.
